| Casa |
| Adjacent to Jacques Dujarié and Basil Moreau Halls, the Casa offers a unique living experience. Rooms are divided among eight “pods”, housing a total of sixty-eight upperclassmen in single and double rooms. Up to nine students share three semi-private baths. The Casa has an elevator, kitchen and two laundry facilities. Students in this complex have access to all of the amenities of Jacques Dujarié Hall. The Residence Director and two RAs live in the Casa.
When you enter the Casa there is a big lobby with big couches, bistro-style tables, and a large screen television. Upstairs is a loft that also features more comfortable seating for residents and their guests to study and socialize. The building features the security of swipe-card entry and all ground-floor bedroom windows are alarmed.

Residence Director
Courtney Riegler, Residence Director
Hi and welcome to the Casa! My name is Courtney Riegler and this is my first year as the Residence Director for the Casa. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from St. Edward’s University in 2008. During my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to work as a Resident Assistant in East Hall, as well as the Apartments.
Born and raised IN Texas, I enjoy the laid back and eclectic nature of Austin. Having lived in Houston, San Antonio, La Grange and now Austin, I’ve found a city with a warm spirit and energetic culture. You can find me cooking up a storm in my apartment, watching the Food Network religiously or going for a long run on the beautiful trails of Town Lake. New recipes intrigue my imagination, as food seems to be the key to my heart!
Austin and St. Edward’s University have impacted my life greatly, and I’m excited to see how we all tap into the excitement of this year! Please do not hesitate to drop by my office (Dujarié 136) if you need anything or to just say hello!
RA Staff
Jonlee Martinez
My name is Jonlee Martinez this is my third year as a resident assistant, and my second year living in the Casa. I hail from Corpus Christi; Texas and love late night food runs to Whataburger or taco stands. I am a senior this year and my major is Criminology. I am an Eagle Scout, and therefore love the outdoors. I really like watching movies and playing ping-pong. I hope to help create a strong community that will enhance living in the Casa and the school year. I am excited to find out what this year brings and am looking forward to meeting my neighbors.
Ashley Ortega
Hi! My name is Ashley Danielle Ortega. I am from the Rio Grande Valley (Donna, TX), but have also lived in California with my family. I am a senior, psychology major and going into my second year as an RA. I am so excited to be spending it in the Casa! Some of you might recognize or remember me from previous years (and vice versa), But I intend to get to know everyone in the building and hope that you look forward to it as much as I do! I am, most definitely, a morning person, Oprah fan, and have a huge love for food! I don't cook much but hope to learn from those of you who do. My hope is that we can try and learn new things as the year progresses and have a great time in the process!
