Jen Wichman - Residence Director Jacques Dujarié Hall
Hey all! My name is Jen Wichman and I am starting my second year as a Residence Director at St. Edward's. Last year I was in East Hall, and I am so excited this year to be in Dujarié! I received my undergrad at St. Edward's in Psychology but also spent a lot of my time studying Biology and Forensics. After graduating I had a chance to work in the sciences as chemist. While I loved my job as a chemist, I really believe in Holy Cross education both in and out of the classroom, and could not pass up the opportunity to work for my alma mater. The Holy Cross Tradition is a key part in my life having attending Holy Cross schools since my adolescence. I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the St. Ed's community once again. While I am originally from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, I love Austin and all the culture has to offer. When I am not being an RD in Dujarié, you can find me cooking, dancing, reading, and watching TV. You are always welcome to join me whether it is for a home cooked meal in my apartment or a Grey's Anatomy marathon. This year really has endless potential with the stellar Dujarié staff, and I am thrilled that all of you get to be a part of that. If you have questions or you just want to chat please don't hesitate to stop by my office behind the Dujarié front desk!
Edgar Gonzalez
My name is Edgar Alejandro Gonzalez. I will be a junior, majoring in Communication. This will be my first year as an RA. As far as my interests go, watching movies pretty much takes the cake. Film is a huge passion of mine and I am very excited to be taking a couple of film courses this semester. Some of my favorite directors are Quentin Tarantino, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Christopher Nolan, and Martin Scorsese. I also enjoy reading, playing video games, playing basketball, and spending time with my little brother and sister. This year, I hope to do great in my classes, make a lot of new friends at Dujarié, and be the best RA I can possibly be. This year is full of new things I've never done before (including two new jobs and a new major) and I am very excited about all of it.
Lauren Stilz
Hi! My name is Lauren Stilz. I am currently a junior here at St. Edwards and love it. I am working towards a bachelor’s degree in Communication with an emphasis on cultural studies. After I graduate, my plan is to continue my education with a Masters degree in Criminal Justice. I love being a resident assistant mostly because it offers me the opportunity to create amazing bonds and friendships with my residents. I have been truly blessed. Many of my residents from last year are no longer "previous residents", but close friends. I will cherish the friendships and opportunities offered to me and I look forward to each new day because each day brings new memories and new friendships to flourish.
Courtney Nuckols
Hi everyone, my name is Courtney Nuckols and I will be the 3rd floor RA this year. I am entering the 2009-2010 school year as a sophomore. I am majoring in Business Management with a minor in Environmental Science and Policy. This will be my first year as an RA and I am so looking forward to meeting new people and playing a larger role in campus life. I am very active on campus and I participate in many different organizations. When I am not studying or in a club meeting you’ll probably find me outside or walking around talking to friends. I love to be outside reading, relaxing and playing sports. I also spend a good amount of time in the library so you will probably run into me there quite a bit. I am originally from Austin and I can honestly say that I plan to stay here. I love Austin and the adventurous atmosphere that comes with it. There are so many opportunities to meet new people and to learn new things; it makes Austin a great place to live during college. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and experiencing another awesome year at St. Edward’s!
Cory Hahn
Hola! Me llamo Cory Hahn. I will be a junior for the 2009-2010 school year. I’m a business major with a minor in science. After undergrad I plan on attending Dental School. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, playing racquet sports, hiking, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. My goals for this year include, but are not limited to, excel in my classes, make new friends, make the year memorable and exciting for residents, and learn to cook.
Laura Sandoval
Hi everyone my name is Laura Sandoval and I live on the first floor of Dujarié, home to the Living and Learning Community in Social Justice! I am a junior at St. Edward's University and I absolutely love it here. I have lived in Dujarié since my freshman year so I pretty much consider it my second home. I am a psychology and Spanish double major with a photo communications minor. I plan to attend graduate school in the near future and pursue Higher Education so that I can stay in college forever! Hopefully St. Edward’s University hires me one day because I am so incredibly passionate about our mission as a university. I love traveling, culture, eating, exercising, learning and being outside. Other than spending my time talking to the residents of Dujarié Hall you may find me around campus as a tour guide, working with the Student Leadership Team in the Student Life office, or volunteering. I look forward to another incredible year serving the amazing residents of Dujarié!
Austin Dains
Aloha, my name is Austin Dains and I am the fourth floor RA in Jacques Dujarié Hall. This is my third year at St. Edward’s and my second as an RA. I am originally from Houston, but when I moved here I immediately fell in love with the beautiful St. Edward’s campus and the city of Austin. My major is Political Science and I hope to continue my studies after I graduate this May. I love getting to know new people and making friends, so introduce yourself! While I enjoy going out to explore the city, I am always there to answer a question or help with a problem. You can find me hanging out in the lobby, watching a movie or listening to music (or all three at once!) This year, I hope to help make Dujarié Hall a great place to live :)
Chris Yeager
Howdy! My name is Chris Yeager I am the RA of Dujarie 3rd floor East. Originally I am from good ole Akron, Ohio, formally known as the rubber capital of the world! I graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School, a Holy Cross High School. My freshman year at Hoban I attended an admissions presentation and ever since then St. Edward’s was the place for me! I am currently a sophomore, officially my major is undecided but I am considering studying Psychology. I have many ideas of what I want to do when I grow up. If I stick with Psychology I would like to get my Masters of Arts in Counseling and be a school counselor. I am excited for the upcoming year and to be your RA! |
