Doreen-Marie Esparza, Residence Director – Lady Bird Johnson Hall
My name is Doreen-Marie Esparza and this is my first year as Residence Director for Lady Bird Johnson Hall and my second year as a Residence Director at St. Edward's University. I graduated from St. Edward's with a B.A. in Psychology and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Higher Education Administration at UT. I enjoy discovering new restaurants around town with friends, playing board games, listening to live music, and watching sporting events on campus! If you have any questions or want to chat, feel free to stop by my office, which is located on the first floor of Le Mans Hall. I look forward to this year and am excited to be a part of the Lady Bird Johnson community!
Maggie Bradford (2nd floor)
Hey everyone, my name is Maggie Bradford and I will be the R.A on the 2nd floor of Johnson. This is my third year as a R.A and I am really excited for another great year! I am a senior majoring in Criminology with a minor in Sociology. I absolutely love my major and the fact that I get to take really cool classes. I will be applying for law school in the spring with hopes of becoming a victim’s right advocate. When I am not studying or participating in other school-related activities, I love to hang out in Austin. This city is filled with wonderful restaurants, good music, and awesome hang out spots. I also like watching movies and/or random television shows, playing board games, spending time with my family and friends, and reading. I love meeting new people because it is a wonderful chance to learn something new about myself, the world, and of course that person. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and having another great year at St. Edward’s!
Ryan Sosa (3rd floor)
What’s going on ya’ll. My name is Ryan Sosa and I’m starting my fourth and final year here at St. Edward’s. I am a photo communications major and often times find myself standing in a dark room for hours on end. My grandfather migrated from Cuba and since coming to St. Ed’s I have become extremely interested in Cuban and Latin American History/Poetry/Literature. I was born and raised in Katy, TX and have enjoyed travelling, camping, and being outdoors all of my life. I have been a vegetarian (sometimes I cheat and eat fish) for around 8 years now and have no intentions of ever becoming vegan because I love every type of cheese and chocolate milk. Some of my favorite spots around Austin include anywhere on the greenbelt, Chuy’s on Barton Springs (bean and cheese burrito w/ deluxe tomatillo sauce, por favor), and Barton Springs pool (best diving board ever). I have trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, and Kick Boxing for the past 3 years and plan on pursuing are carrier in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My favorite band is Led Zeppelin but recently I have gotten into a lot of hip hop and rap groups such as Jurassic5, Wu-Tang Clan, Atmosphere, The Geto Boys, Biggie Smalls, NWA, and Aesop Rock.
Grace Tannous (4th floor)
Hey y'all! My name is Grace Tannous and I am the RA on the fourth floor of Lady Bird Johnson Hall! I am really excited and hope to meet each and every one of you soon! So I am guessing you would like to know a little bit about me. Well for starters, I am a senior and I am majoring in Psychology. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania as the youngest of six. I moved here over a year ago from Pennsylvania where I attended Penn State University. I moved because I am very close to my family and wanted to be close to them since most of them moved here as well. As for my hobbies; I love reading and I also love being around family and friends. I like taking hikes and being adventurous. I am always up for trying something new. I LOVE sports. Since I grew up outside of Philadelphia, I love Philadelphia teams. I will stick to my roots as an Eagles and Phillies fan even if I do live here in Texas! One of my favorite hobbies growing up was coaching Special Olympics, which I have been doing since I was twelve. This summer I attended my third year as a counselor at the Antiochian Village in Bolivar, PA. There I counseled four groups of 8-17 year old girls in two week increments. I love working with kids and will be starting my second internship year at Athena Montessori Academy. I hope this helps you to get to know me better! I look forward to meeting you!

Roy Pequeño – Residence Director Hunt & Le Mans Halls
My name is Roy Pequeño and I am excited to be back on the hilltop. After graduating from St. Edward’s, with a Bachelors in Spanish International Business, I joined the Holy Cross Associates as a volunteer. My two and a half year commitment allowed me to experience being a teacher, campus minister, food minister and live in South America (Bolivia for five months and Chile for two years). I am originally from South Texas – Edinburg area – but refer to Humble as home. I enjoy playing racquetball and various other sports, camping, reading, watching movies, listening to music, and, of course, chillaxin’ whenever possible.
Ladies and gentlemen, beware we are making history! New traditions and events will be coming from this complex. The dynamic around campus is about to change. The Hunt & Le Mans community has arrived!
Hope Tapia – Hunt 228
Hey all! I'm Hope Tapia. I'm going to be one of the RAs on the 2nd floor of Hunt. This is my first year as an RA and I'm super excited!! I'm originally from Tucson, Arizona where I lived for 15 years, but was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I am a Junior Biology major, and working on a minor in Forensic Science. I plan to go to Medical School after St. Ed's pursuing the pathology field, and ultimately forensic pathology. My interests are completely random and varied. I enjoy watching movies and TV and just chillin' out really. I love music, and am a proud Country fan! Most of what you hear coming from my room will be country with some random other stuff here and there. My favorite sport is bull riding (and yes it is a sport!) I can't wait to start building a really fun community in Hunt this year and I hope to get to know not only my residents but as many residents of Hunt/Le Mans as possible so stop by and say hey!
Arielle Kassner – Hunt 244
Hello! I am Arielle Kassner and I am a junior this year. This is my second year as an RA and I am on the 2nd floor in Hunt. I am really excited to be working on this huge staff as the complex opens for its first full year as I am moving on from my home of the past two years in East Hall.
I am from out in the West Texas town of El Paso but Austin has become my home away from home. I am majoring in Political Science and hope to someday pursue a field in international relations. I love almost all kinds of music and if you are walking on Hunt’s 2nd floor, chances are you’ll hear me pumping some jams. I don’t really watch television but my TV gets some proper use because I love movies and movie nights are how I spend a good amount of spare time.
I’ve done a little bit of traveling and love learning about new cultures, especially cultures and traditions in my own backyard. I expect this year will be packed with all sorts of excitement and I am looking forward to spending it with you all.
Alessia Fuselier – Hunt 328
Hey, my name is Aleesia Fuselier! I am a Communications major beginning my second year at St. Edwards University. I am so excited to start my first year as an RA in Edmund Hunt Hall to start new traditions with my residents. I'm originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but since 2005 I have called Tomball, Texas my home. I feel very lucky to have found another home here at St. Edward’s as well because there is never a dull moment around here, which is something I love about this school and the city of Austin. I am a very active person; I love being outdoors, playing sports, watching movies, and just being around people. As we say in New Orleans, “Laissez les bon temps rouler” (Let the good times roll)!!
Andres Crosby – Hunt 344
Hey Everyone! My name is Andres Crosby and welcome to Hunt Hall. This will be my second year as a Resident Assistant and first year in Hunt. I am excited to be a part of the three new buildings we like to refer to as The Nest and begin many new traditions that will hopefully become known throughout campus. Can’t wait to meet you all.
Jake Droutsas – Hunt 428
Hey I'm Jake, and I'm a laid back kinda guy. I was born in Austin, raised in Medina, TX (backwoods hill country town with great apple pie), and I am happy to back in this amazing city. I'm a Sophomore this year and absolutely love St. Edward's. I love having fun and doing random awesome things. I like to volunteer and give back to the community. Theresa McClory – Hunt 444
Hi! My name is Theresa McClory, and I am going into my senior year at St. Ed’s. I’m happy to be returning to Hunt Hall for my second year as an RA and am looking forward to a great year with a great staff.
Here’s a little about me. I’m originally from Beaumont, Texas which for anyone that doesn’t know is home to the world’s third largest fire hydrant. I have three older brothers, four little nephews, and a fifth on his way. Family and friends are a huge deal. In a close second comes food….of all kinds. I don’t discriminate. I prefer lazy living to any other kind of life style. It’s all about maximizing your productivity with minimal effort. To borrow the words of a great man, “I’m living life in the fast lane… just in the passenger seat.”
Veronica Adamcik – Le Mans 214
