Living Learning Communities
When you arrive at St. Edward's, you're going to be challenged to think critically and creatively about the world around you. Don't you want your living experience to match your academic journey?
That's where Living Learning Communities come in. In learning communities, students choose their housing based on a common theme, and throughout the year, they explore the topic and deepen their knowledge of the subject.
For 2008-2009, freshmen can choose from two different Living Learning Communities, including:
Each learning community lives together on the same floor of a residence hall. Students in the community take one or two courses together and participate in dinners, discussions, special events and service activities. As a member of a learning community, you'll get to know your professor and develop friendships with your fellow students. Without a doubt, you'll leave your community ready to make a difference.
What to Do Next
When you complete your housing sign-up, you'll have the opportunity to apply for a Living Learning Community.
If you're not ready to apply or don't want to fill out the entire application, no problem! Return at any time to complete your application.
Please note: You must sign up for housing regardless of whether you are applying for a Living Learning Community. However, if you are accepted into a Living Learning Community, your housing assignment will be based on the Living Learning Community's location and will override your previous assignment.
The Living Learning Community application process for Fall 2008 is closed.
