Premont Hall Staff

Ryan Riess, Resident Director

I am very excited to begin my second year as a Residence Director at St. Edward’s. I am thrilled this year to be the director for both Premont and Doyle, and my goal is to create an atmosphere that facilitates both meaningful relationships and academic achievement. I was born and raised outside of Tampa, FL where my parents still reside. I have three sisters, two brothers, and one niece. I was a two time all-state high school soccer player, but three broken legs and one ankle surgery during high school brought my playing days to an unexpected halt. I still enjoy working out and watching sports on TV. My favorite activities include watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well as Duke Basketball games and going to see live music. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Harvard in 1999, and I recently received my Master's degree in School Counseling from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am anxious to get to know all the residents of both Premont and Doyle because this year is going to be great.

The RA staff:

PJ Judia
Hi, I was born and raised on an island near Texas called Galveston. Graduated from O'Connell High School in 2002. I came to St. Edward’s in Fall of 2002 and fell in love with the school and the people. This will be my 4th semester as a Resident Assistant, and my second year in Premont. I am a Political Science major hoping to go on to law school. I am looking forward to this year as being Premont’s best yet.

Jose Velasquez
I graduated from Schulenburg High School, located in Schulenburg Texas. I am entering my Junior year as a undergraduate student. I am majoring in Kinesiology and having a second teaching field in Spanish. Fall of 04 will be the first time I am a R.A.

John Milton
My name is John Milton and I am from Columbus, Ohio. Having fun, that's what I do best. I specialize in video gaming, both console and PC, and practice it frequently. I'm all about playing games with other people, like HALO, Smash Bros. Melee, and Starcraft, though I'll play just about anything. Outside of gaming, I enjoy rollerblading and political/religious debate. Debate is one of those lovely things that allows human beings to be open minded, and that's always favorable in a campus environment such as this.
