Title: Design, Implementation, and Application of a High Performance
Cluster
Abstract: This talk discusses a project involving
design, implementation, and benchmarking a fully functional cluster
available for use in a parallel algorithm class at St. Edward's
University. A cluster is a group of computers connected by a network
to solve a single computational problem that has the ability to
provide supercomputing power at a fraction of the cost. We also
discuss information about cluster-based benchmarking and application
development. Additionally, the talk provides a departmental resource
regarding the design and utilization of high performance cluster
implemented by commodity hardware. |
