Title: MathGroup Scheduling

Abstract: This talk will present a secure web-based application to help organize student study groups for St. Edwards Mathematics Department. MathGroup Scheduling is an application that helps to match students based upon their schedules. Students previously did this manually by using paper forms to fill out their weekly schedules. Our solution to this problem was to develop a dynamic, secure, web-based system that St. Edwards Mathematics Department’s students could use to automate the scheduling task. We used a database to house the data and scripting language to develop the scheduling algorithm. This secure administration interface contains methods for entering classes, students, viewing stored data, update data, and generate the schedule.
