Title: Workflow Form Automation for Equipment Requisition

Abstract: More and more companies are identifying a need to replace existing paper forms with online systems. Forms and the necessary workflow of those forms when placed electronically save a lot of money and time. A request can be handled and redirected in a company-defined workflow to be rejected or accepted, and finally denied or executed. Qatar Petroleum (QP), a petroleum company in Qatar, is one such company. This talk will discuss a system that was developed to replace an existing paper request form utilized in QP. This would be considered a preliminary working e-Service application, which can be expanded or modified to best fit the needs of individual departments. The application was developed using Lotus Notes and was placed in an existing QP Domino server.
