Title: Support Information Tracker
Abstract: When large businesses, schools, or
any type of organization sets up an IT infrastructure, there are
many times when complex activities or problems are solved by an
individual or group of individuals. A common problem is that a
lot of the important information about the solution is kept in
the mind of one or a few people. Not capturing information in
an organized way makes companies susceptible to losing information
or erratic quality of service. In this talk we present Support
Information Tracker (SITR) which is an application designed to
capture this information and combine the knowledge into one easily
accessibly and searchable, organized information repository. SITR
incorporates many advanced features such as a foreign language
implementation, WYSIWYG text editor, support request tracker,
and is used by many large institutions including universities,
public companies, and private citizens. |
