New Undergraduate Spring Orientation (Freshman, Transfer, International, Readmitted, Temporary and Non-Degree Seeking Students)

The Spring Orientation program at St. Edward's is designed to help students to become more familiar with the faculty, staff and services available on campus. Spring Orientation begins that morning with check-in from 9-10 a.m. in the Ragsdale Center, 2nd floor, and continues through 5:00 p.m. that day. Please note that there will be additional advising and registration the mornings following orientation. Students who wish to secure classes prior to orientation may do so in Early Advising and Registration which takes place between December 9-16, 2009.
If you would like to take advantage of early registration you must:
- Be sure that all official academic transcripts have been submitted and received by the Undergraduate & Admission Office: 1-800-555-0164
- Submit a $150 deposit to the Admissions Office. Students who are unable to participate in this early registration period may meet with an advisor and register during the New Undergraduate Student Orientation program.
- Students should contact Academic Planning & Support Services at 512-448-8660 to make an advising and registration appointment and allow 2-business days between making your enrollment deposit and advising and registration appointment.
- Prior to attending orientation students must set their billing and payment details through the accepted student web page, located at http://www.gotostedwards.com.
IMPORTANT: It is the student's responsibility to confirm the arrival of transcripts prior to advising and registration. Evaluation of credit will be on these transcripts and the academic major indicated on the admissions application.
Placement Testing:
Testing during Orientation provides the information necessary to place students in the appropriate level of English and Math. Based on students’ SAT and/or ACT results, some will be required to come to placement testing in Math and/or English prior to registering for courses. Students, for whom it is required, will be notified of the requirement at check-in.

To sign up for orientation:
The online orientation registration form at St. Edward's will go live on November 12, 2009. To use this system, please go to http://www.gotostedwards.com. Your user name and password for this site are printed in your acceptance letter. In order to sign up for orientation you must submit your $150 non-refundable enrollment deposit. The deposit can also be submitted through the online link, but please note that it takes one business day for the deposit to take effect in the system. Therefore, you will need to wait one business day after submitting your deposit to sign up for New Undergraduate Student Orientation.
