Submission Guidelines

1. The journal staff seeks submissions in all creative visual and written forms: short stories, poems, creative nonfiction, paintings, photographs, cartoons, musical scores, songs, translations, one-act plays or screenplays, myths, folklore, bedtime stories, etchings, drawings, etc.
2. Submissions must be entered by Friday, December 16, 2005.
3. The Sorin Oak Review welcomes submissions from any current or former SEU student, faculty, and staff. Sorin Oak Review welcomes submissions from any current or former SEU student, faculty, and staff.
4. All submissions must be accompanied by a completed entry form, which is available online or at the front desk of the Student Life Office. Because submissions are judged by the Sorin Oak Review staff on a blind rating system, please do not put your name on your submitted piece. *Prose: Limited to 5,000 words and no more than two submissions. *Poetry: Up to three poems may be submitted.*Visual Arts: Up to five pieces of visual work may be submitted. We encourage the submission be scanned onto a disk.
5. No anonymous or untitled work will be accepted.
6. All work must be submitted:

1. Through email using one of the following word processing programs for written work: ClarisWorks, Word Perfect or Word
2. On a compact disk labeled with your name and mailed to the Sorin Oak Editor, Student Publications, C/M 1054 or delivered to the Student Publications Office in Ragsdale 3rd floor.

*All visual files must have a resolution of at least 300ppi (360ppi or higher preferred.) Files may be saved in the following formats: .PSD, .EPS, and .TIFF

*Notification: You will receive confirmation via email when we receive your submission, and you will be notified by email next semester about weather your work was accepted to the Sorin Oak Review.

*Please note that no items will be returned.
