What is the Service Scholarship?

Service Scholarships are available to traditional undergraduate students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the area of community service on or off campus since they first enrolled at St. Edward's.

Who is eligible to apply for the Service Scholarship?

Scholarship consideration is limited to full-time students enrolled in the traditional Undergraduate College who have at least a 2.75 St. Edward’s cumulative grade point average at the end of the Fall 2009 semester and who will have earned a minimum of 24 St. Edward’s University hours by the end of the Spring 2010 semester. Students may apply for either the Dean’s, Service, or Brown Scholarship, but they may not apply for more than one.

What do Service Scholarship recipients receive?

Service Scholarship recipients receive a monetary scholarship award.

When are 2010-2011 Service Scholarship applications available, and how do I access the application packet?

What is the deadline to return the 2010-2011 Service Scholarship Application packet and where do I return it?

Service Scholarship applications are due in the Student Life Office, Ragsdale Center, Rm. 304, no later than February 12, 2010.

What happens after I turn in my application?

The Service Scholarship Committee composed of staff and students will meet to review Service Scholarship applications and choose Service Scholarship recipients. Recipients and those who are not selected will be notified by April 16, 2010.
