Programming Board (UPB): 448-8432
UPB is the major activities programming organization
on campus, providing the University with a variety
of social, educational, cultural, and entertainment
programs. Volunteer student coordinators chair six
UPB committees: Films, Global Affairs, Music, Publicity,

Student Government (SGA):
448-8424; website
The Student Government Association is composed
of representatives selected from the freshman, sophomore,
junior, and senior classes and executive officers
elected at-large from the student body. The Student
Government Association acts as liaison between the
student body and the administration through its work
on University councils, boards, and committees. The
Senate holds student voice symposiums and town hall
meetings, passes bills in support of student issues,
and also initiates projects designed to meet student
needs. Visit the SGA
website.
Student Leadership Team
(SLT): 448-8420
The Student Leadership Team is a diverse group
of experienced student leaders who use their knowledge
and skills to develop leadership abilities in other
students through such opportunities as the Emerging
Leaders Program and the Chartered Organizations Retreat.
They plan and implement this program while at the
same time enhancing their own leadership skills through
conferences and involvement in the SEU and Austin
communities.
Student Publications: 448-8426
Three publications produced by students are
administered by the Student Life Office: Hilltop Views,
the student newspaper; Arete,
a student academic journal; and Sorin
Oak Review, the university arts and literary magazine.
Students are encouraged to make submissions to all
three publications as well as apply for staff and
editor positions.
Residence Life Organizations
Various councils within the residence halls
and campus apartments give students the opportunity
to advance their leadership abilities while planning
activities and influencing their on-campus living
environment. Students wishing to get involved may
contact their Resident Advisor or Resident Director.
