Cabo Lead
CaboLead has received national recognition from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) as a Theory to Practice Spotlight Recipient. For more information, please visit the NASPA web site.
Cabo Lead is a global leadership program offered only at St. Edward’s University that invites up to 15 students to study the history, economics, political and social issues in the Baja Peninsula of Mexico. Participants will complete a six-week study of the region followed by a five-day immersion trip to the area where they will meet with political and business leaders along with artists and local icons. The trip also includes a sightseeing hiking trip to San Lazaro Lake and community service and team building exercises with Teams in Cabo.
Upon completion of the program, Cabo Lead participants will be able to:
- Recognize the long-term infrastructure, political and social needs for the region
- Organize leadership development activities using community resources
- Discuss the positive and negative consequences of globalization
- Be better prepared to explore cultures out of the United States and enhance their own global understanding at St. Edward’s.
