Fall 2009 Leadership Tracks

Spiritual Leadership Track
The purpose of the Spiritual Leadership Track is to provide opportunities for the students of St. Edward’s to grow as leaders in their faith. With a spirit of humility and service, students will be able to lead interfaith dialogues with colleagues and learn how previous generations have dealt with challenges as they became religious leaders. Leading with integrity is a process, and this track will assist in providing students with the tools necessary for them to continue on their spiritual journey while staying true to their personal values in today’s society.
Leading the Faith — Anything is possible!

• Tuesday, Nov. 3, 7–9 p.m., Jones Auditorium, Robert and Pearle Ragsdale Center
• Join us as we premiere the film: Facing the Giants followed by a breakout session led by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
• You can be a leader! Whether on the court, field, or in the classroom; your morality, integrity and values will help guide you through your spiritual journey.
• Popcorn and beverages will be provided by the Leadership Tracks Program.

Organizational Leadership Track
The purpose of this track is to provide organizational leaders at St. Edward’s with the tools necessary to effectively direct a group of students who share a common interest. Students will attend dynamic workshops in which they will obtain the skills to make their organizations successful. The Leading E.D.G.E. – Facilitators will facilitate discussions on numerous topics including Recruitment/Marketing, Event Planning and Budgeting/Fundraising.

• Learn all the steps it takes for your organization to strategically plan an event, social, or meeting. Take it all the way from A to Z. Hear from student experts Sara Hoover and Samantha Bruckner representing the University Programming Board.

• Thursday, Nov. 19, 5–6 p.m., Fleck Hall, Rm. 305
• Even when money is tight, you and your organization can thrive and have a stable budget. Leslie Sans, assistant director of Student Life, will teach you how to effectively budget and fundraise to successfully sustain your organization.
