Student Life
Diversity and Social Justice
Student Life reflects the St. Edward's and Holy Cross commitments to creating an inclusive environment that upholds the dignity of all people and examines, recognizes and values individual differences while simultaneously understanding the importance of our common humanity.
We support and educate our diverse student population through various initiatives, programs and events — which promote self-reflection, cultural awareness, understanding and dialogue. We strive to collaborate with various members of the university community to promote an environment in which different perspectives and experiences are explored, valued and shared. This empowers students to create positive social change on campus and in local and global communities.
Unity Coalition
The Unity Coalition (UC) is a chartered student organization sponsored by the St. Edward’s University Student Life Office. The UC is a student group that echoes the Mission Statement of St. Edward’s by stressing the individual’s obligation to pursue a just world. The UC accomplishes this through the education of its members and the creation of social justice programming for the student body and surrounding Austin community.
