Jennifer Kohnen Kirsch

Jennifer Kohnen Kirsch believes that she has a responsibility to help others - both locally and around the world.

As the marketing launch and promotions manager at Freescale Semiconductor Inc., Jennifer balanced a demanding job with coursework for her MBA with a concentration in Management.

She juggled both responsibilities and found time to serve on the board of directors of the Girl Scouts of Central Texas and as a member of the Community Relations Council at Freescale. Jennifer also volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Just Faith, a nonprofit involved in social justice issues. She was a lay director for a women's spiritual formation group, and she organized neighbors to adopt a family after Hurricane Katrina. These efforts earned Jennifer nominations for both the YMCA Woman of the Year "Volunteerism" and Motorola Community Service awards.

As part of her Global Business Capstone project, she was the lead consultant working with a dairy in Slovakia to expand its products into Western Europe.

One of Jennifer's professors said she embodies "what we hope our business students will bring to the world: caring, compassion and ethics."
