Expertise: Baynham's area of specialization is microbiology with specific interests in food microbiology and bacterial gene regulation. She focuses on food pathogens, probiotics and food safety. Baynham is active in the American Society for Microbiology, is a Biology Scholar (NSF Biology Scholars Program) and is a fellow of the Texas Academy of Science.
