In 2000, St. Edward’s adopted a vision to become recognized nationally as one of the best small universities in the United States. See our significant progress toward this goal, including multiple commendations, our Department of Education report card, national recognition as a “Top 100 Schools Graduating Hispanics” and high ranking in the National Survey of Student Engagement, where we exceeded the national average in all five benchmark categories.
Vision Statement: St. Edward's University will attain
recognition as one of the best small universities in the
country, characterized by our Holy Cross tradition of academic
excellence and personalized educational experiences.
To realize this vision, we must rise to the challenge of
seven strategic priorities.
The Strategic Priorities are as follows:
- Increase enrollment to give more students the opportunity
to benefit from a personalized St. Edward's education.
- Expand the diverse, high-quality faculty and staff to
ensure educational excellence.
- Provide exceptional student experiences through innovative
academic and campus life programs.
- Enhance facilities and technologies to educate today's
and tomorrow's learners.
- Steward resources wisely to assure the university's
future.
- Secure philanthropic relationships to support the university's
mission.
- Advance the university through integrated marketing.
