president of this institution, it is with great enthusiasm
that I welcome you to the St. Edward's University World
Wide Web site. I hope you take advantage of this medium

Through this web site, we hope to offer some insight
into our rigorous curriculum, the sophisticated technology
and excellent facilities available to faculty and
students, as well as the university's strong tradition
of values.
St. Edward's University provides a culturally diverse
student body with a liberal arts education that offers
a broad understanding of various disciplines. Our
students receive individualized attention in classrooms
that have a low 15:1 student to faculty ratio. We
have an on-going commitment to students through our
Academic Planning and Support Center, the Career Planning
and Experiential Learning Center, the Center for Ethics
and Leadership, and through the assistance and guidance
of our competent faculty.
St. Edward's was founded by the Congregation of Holy
Cross from which it acquired distinguishing characteristics:
the courage to take risks, an international perspective
and the commitment to provide educational opportunities
for students of varied cultural, religious, education
