Orientation is the first step in your hilltop adventure.

Once again, we have to extend you a heartfelt congratulations; we happen to think our community is pretty amazing, and we believe you will contribute to it in a profound way. You’ve started the process of becoming a Hilltopper, with everything that entails (challenging classes, brilliant professors, creative and professional opportunities, and at least one goat encounter). Now it’s time for us to get to know each other better.

All freshmen (including international freshmen students) are required to participate in one of six summer Orientation sessions as well as an extended orientation program, Anchors, in August. We encourage you to attend the earliest Orientation you can. Your family also has the option to participate in Parent and Family Orientation at the same time.

To sign up, follow these steps:

“Orientation goes beyond just learning about St. Edward’s. It’s a stepping stone that allows you to transition into a new and exciting chapter of your life.”
Victoria Hoang ’21, Communication major, Orientation Leader

“When I was a new student, Orientation helped me understand the tremendous amount of opportunities for involvement St. Edward’s has to offer; that no matter what, I’d find my place on the hilltop.”
Nicolas Jafari ’21, Sociology major, Orientation Leader
