Your on-campus living experience at St. Edward’s significantly contributes to your educational and personal growth. Our students join Living Learning Communities (LLCs), where collaboration and learning extend beyond the classroom.
In a Living Learning Community, you'll select your housing based on a common theme that you are interested in exploring throughout your freshman year. You’ll connect with a diverse group of students who share that same interest. These students will become your friends, your neighbors and your classmates. You’ll live in the same residence hall, take a few courses together and participate in theme-related discussions, special events and service projects as a group.
For the 2017–2018 academic year, incoming freshmen can choose from six LLCs, including:
Students who plan to live on campus may sign up for an LLC after you’re accepted to St. Edward’s and have submitted your enrollment deposit. To sign up, you must fill out the LLC section of the housing application found in myHilltop.
If you commute to campus, may also join an LLC. You'll have access to the residence hall and activities shared by your fellow LLC members. Commuter students must fill out the Housing Exemption form, found in the housing portal in myHilltop, and then identify that you are interested in an LLC.
Space is limited, and because LLCs are popular, they fill quickly. To ensure your space in an LLC, apply for housing as soon as possible. Priority applications are due April 17 (though some LLCs may fill earlier before then).
If you're a STEM major and you're interested in getting a jump start on your academic success and meeting other students, learn about FARM week (open only to STEM majors).
