The St. Edward's University Job and Internship Fair is held twice each year, during the fall and spring terms.  This event is produced by St. Edward's Career and Professional Development office for all students and alumni of the institution.

Who can attend?

All students and alumni of St. Edward’s are encouraged to attend, and prior registration is not required. The Job and Internship Fair is NOT just for those about to graduate, but also for first-year students, sophomores, juniors and graduate students. In addition to finding jobs and internships, it is an opportunity to network with employers, learn more about different career fields and job opportunities, and gather research about different companies students may want to work for in the future.  In addition to learning about summer or internship positions, students will also become familiar with the format of a job fair, better preparing themselves for a future, full-time job search.


Information for Guests Attending the Job & Internship Fair

Students and alumni from other colleges and universities who would like to attend the St. Edward’s Job and Internship Fair should email Career and Professional Development prior to the event to request and receive permission to attend. To request permission to attend, e-mail seu.careerplan [at], state your request and indicate the college or university you are currently attending or have graduated from.  If approved, you will receive an e-mail with additional information for participating.

To view an up-to-date list of registered employers for this event, visit the Job and Internship Fair career event page in Hilltop Careers or visit our Employer Attendee list updated daily. If you are a recent user of Hilltop Careers, you'll need to sign in to your account. Your User Name is the first part of your St. Edward's e-mail address, everything before the @ sign, for both students and alumni.  Your password is the password you've been using for Hilltop Careers.

If you're a first time user of Hilltop Careers or if you forgot your password, scroll to the bottom of the log-in page and click on "I can't access my account." You'll receive a temporary password to enter the system.  Alumni, if you don't remember your St. Edward's e-mail address, contact Career and Professional Development at 512-448-8530.

Resume Books for Job Fair Employers - Submit Your Resume

Introducing a new feature of the Job and Internship Fair: Resume Books!  Students and alumni are now able to submit their resume to the office of Career and Professional Development who will in turn forward your resume(s) to employer recruiters attending the Job and Internship Fair.  You can submit your resume whether or not you will be attending the event, and you can submit a resume to one or more of the resume books.

There are three separate resume books for the Job and Internship Fair: one is for employers seeking interns, another is for employers seeking full-time experienced applicants, and a third is for employers seeking full-time entry-level applicants.  After the Job and Internship Fair, all resumes submitted will be sent to the Job and Internship Fair employers.

Please note that the resume submission site is in Hilltop Careers, St. Edward's job and internship database for students and alumni. The resume books are located in the Career Events section of Hilltop Careers.  The links below will take you straight to the resume book submission site.  If you are a previous and recent user of Hilltop Careers, when you click on the link to submit your resume, you will be asked to log into Hilltop Careers.  If you have never used Hilltop Careers or don't remember your log-in information, at the bottom of the Hilltop Careers log-in page, you will click on "I can't access my account."  Further explanation is given on the sign-in page.

Preparation Meet-Ups - How to Work a Career Fair

You want to impress the employers, so make every effort to follow the guidelines on this handout. Tuesday, February 21 & 28: Get the inside scoop on how to impress employers and stand out at the Spring Job and Internship Fair on March 2. From resumes to networking, we will discuss how to make this your most successful Career Fair yet.

Wednesday, February 22 & March 1: Going to job fairs isn’t going to yield good results if you don’t know how to correctly work the event. This event is to prepare job and internship seekers how to successfully navigate the upcoming Spring Job and Internship Fair.

Wednesday, February 22: Let us help you prepare for the Spring Job and Internship Fair with a Job Fair Prep Party! Get your resume reviewed, practice your elevator pitch, take your LinkedIn photo and get free pizza!

Thursday, February 23: Making a positive first impression is essential at a job fair. By dressing professionally you can show employers that you mean business. This workshop addresses the importance of appropriate dress as it relates to job fairs and networking. Information is shared about the differences between business attire and business casual.

Update Your Resume Before the Job and Internship Fair

Update your resume as soon as possible. Career and Professional Development offers students many avenues for having your resume critiqued: Resume meet-ups (Moody Hall134), Resume Drop-off (email your resume to: seu.careerplan [at] or drop it off at Moody Hall 134),  Walk-in hours in Moody Hall 134 daily 3:00-5:00pm, or individual appointments in Career and Professional Development by calling 512-448-8530 or stopping by Moody Hall 134.

Update Your Linked-In Profile

If you do not have a Linked-In Profile, create one before the Job & Internship Fair.  If you need assistance, you can make an appointment with a Career Counselor in Career and Professional Development in Moody Hall 134, ph.512.448.8530.

Volunteer at the Job Fair

Are you interested in volunteering for the Spring Job & Internship Fair? Great, because we need your help!   More than 90 employers will visit our campus to recruit St. Edward's students and alumni. Please help Career and Professional Development make this annual event even more successful than last year's event. We have a special need for volunteers who can work extended or multiple time slots. Volunteer check-in information will be provided closer to the event date.

Create a Business Card

Many sites are available for creating and ordering business cards. You can order 250 free business cards from with basic information on your card. There will be a nominal shipping fee. As you are creating your card online, Vista will keep asking you if you want to upgrade (backgrounds, colors, fonts, etc.) at approximately $5-$10 for each upgrade.  While you may certainly take advantage of the upgrades, you don't have to accept and you can order your cards for just a nominal shipping fee.  Here are two samples of what you can create on Vista Print.
