Going back to college is a big commitment

You’ll find the help you need every step of the way at St. Edward’s.

As an adult student, you'll have access to all campus support services. From our state-of-the art Munday Library to Career Planning and Management to the Online Writing Lab, you'll have full access to a variety of services to help you succeed.

Whether you’re attending classes at our main campus in South Austin or St. Edward’s University–North Austin near the Arboretum, you’ll have access to the academic and personal support you need to excel.

Academic Advising

Admission and advising support for New College students begins on day one. Get all of your questions answered here, from how to apply to choosing a major to picking classes that fit your schedule. Once you’re admitted to New College, a personal academic advisor will be assigned to help you stay focused and on track until you complete your degree.

Campuswide Technology

Over the past few years, we’ve added new buildings with state-of-the-art classrooms that include advanced audio/visual equipment, computer work stations and wireless Internet connections, along with wireless zones across campus.

St. Edward’s also offers five student computer labs on our main campus, including two 24-hour labs. At our North Austin location, you’ll enjoy the comfort of roomy seminar-styled classrooms, as well as computer labs where you can work on homework or print out assignments. The Computer Help Desk is just an email or phone call away to assist students with a wide array of technological challenges — from troubleshooting an Internet connection to backing up important files.

Need to brush up on the latest software? Our free computer training workshops will get you up to speed.

Writing Center

The Writing Center can help you become a stronger, more confident writer, even if it’s been a while since you last wrote a paper. Through the Writing Center, students can consult one-on-one with experienced writing instructors for help with punctuation rules, creating a bibliography and more. The Writing Center is conveniently available by appointment or walk-in seven days a week, including evenings. Plus, the Online Writing Lab can help when you’re working on assignments away from campus.

Career and Professional Development

Our career preparation services provide you with practical insights, networking opportunities, and job-search skills and resources that get you ready to stand out in a competitive job market.

Health & Counseling Center

Juggling work, life and college can be stressful. The Health & Counseling Center offers free confidential counseling for students — whether you need guidance on balancing family with college, advice for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, or support dealing with a problem on the job. The center is also a convenient, affordable choice for basic medical services for all enrolled students.

St. Edward’s opened my mind and my career to tremendous new opportunities... You’ll meet people from all over Austin and build a professional network, while acquiring new skills and understanding. St. Edward’s teaches you to think and solve challenging problems. Companies are starving for people with those skills. —John Treble ’02, Center Quality Systems Manager at RCPL at Schlumberger
