Dr. Ju uses mixed-methods approaches to study race/ethnicity, gender, international migration, health & social policy, social determinants of health, the non-profit sector, and urban politics in North America, Latin America, Europe, and East Asia. Prior to returning to academia in the 2017-2018 academic year, Dr. Ju worked in international development consulting in Washington, DC and in New York City. She has taught at UCLA, the University of California Washington Center, York College of the City University of New York, Marymount Manhattan College, Knox College, and Quinnipiac University.
