Cara Firestone is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Performing Arts. She teaches Musical Theatre Performance, Musical Theatre Showcase and Applied Voice classes.
Cara's professional experience includes guest artist appearances with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, the Canadian National Arts Centre Orchestra and the symphony orchestras of Toronto, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Seattle, Portland, Nashville, Fort Worth and Austin. Her opera and musical theatre credits include productions with Chautauqua Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Opera Boston, Austin Lyric Opera, Music Theatre of Wichita and Paper Mill Playhouse. She came to St. Edward's University as an Equity Guest Artist for Mary Moody Northen Theatre's production of Carousel in 2011 and has also been seen in their production of The Secret Garden.
