Joseph Nketia, Ph.D.,  CPA, is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the The Bill Munday School of Business. Prior to joining the faculty at St. Edward's University,  Joe was an adjunct accounting instructor at the University of Texas at Dallas teaching business valuation. He has over 12 years of corporate experience in fund reporting and business valuation. His corporate experiences have mainly been in the area of financial statement analysis, internal controls for small business, business valuation, financial statements preparation, and reporting.  He has previously worked for one of the top four accounting firms and one of the largest investment management firms in the United States. 

With extensive experience in business valuation and fund reporting, Joe brings real-life business experience to students. He currently teaches financial and cost accounting at Munday School of Business.  Joe really enjoys interacting with students and helping them understand accounting theory, concepts, and principles that students can apply in real-life situations. He hopes to leverage his corporate experience to help students in diverse ways.

Professor Nketia's research interest includes quality financial reporting (earnings management), corporate governance, capital market, business valuation, and small business operations.
