Michael Massey has studied and taught widely in the Arts. Teaching , personal study, and professional work are highly integrated in his classroom practices.
Michael has taught a wide variety of Arts courses at St. Edward's University. He has worked in Puppetry, Theatre Design, and most recently his interests are focused on Color, Drawing and Painting, and Watercolor. Teaching in the Theatre Program and functioning as the resident Scenic and Lighting Designer for over 15 years Michael worked closely with students. Teaching Understanding and Appreciating the Arts in General Studies, along with Drawing in the Art Department gradually led to Michael becoming the Course Coordinator for Understanding and Appreciating the Arts and teaching in Art full time.
