At the Intersection of Accounting and the Law Michael Z. Stern, CPA, has been an adjunct faculty member at St. Edward's for several years. His work as an attorney and a CPA combine to help his students understand the complexities of the legal aspects of accounting and for success on the CPA exam.

Michael Z. Stern is an attorney and a CPA, with more than 29 years' experience as a practicing attorney. His law practice is primarily focused in business formation & representation, contracts, commercial transactions, health law, real estate, estate planning, probate, and tax. Mr. Stern's courses encompass his many areas of expertise: Estate Planning & Probate, Business Law, and Accounting Ethics courses. He has previously taught courses in Legal Concepts, Legal Research, Contracts, Legal Writing, and Legal Environment of Employee Benefit Plans. Mr. Stern has periodically lectured for the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and other professional organizations.
