Dr. Minus is the associate vice president for Academic Affairs, a professor of Education, and director of the McNair Scholars Program. She supervises the directors of the Center for Teaching Excellence, the College Assistance Migrant Program, and the Honors Program.
As associate vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Minus assists students in resolving academic issues that they have not been able to bring to closure with the help of a school or an academic support area including exceptions to policies and academic appeals. She also considers petitions for exceptions to academic policies and procedures. In addition, confirmed cases of academic dishonesty by students in all graduate and undergraduate programs are also reported to her, and she consults with faculty on such issues. She has been director of the McNair Scholars Program since 2003 and is the instructor of the McNair summer research internship.
