Dr. Sung Won Suh is an Associate Professor of Finance at St. Edward’s University. The courses that he teaches include Introduction to Finance, Real Estate Finance, International Finance, Finance for Managers, Global Finance, and Financial Statement Analysis.

Dr. Suh earned his doctoral degree in Real Estate Finance (Ph.D. ’16) and master’s degree in Real Estate (MPS/RE ’06) at Cornell University. And he received a master’s degree in Architecture (MS ’97) and a bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BS ’95) at Seoul National University in South Korea. Before undertaking of his Ph.D., he was an active real estate practitioner working for Halla Construction and Development Corp. for eight years as a project manager and a research fellow in South Korea. He gained diverse experiences in development and investment managing mixed-use and residential development projects. His main research interests are centered on real estate finance and investment. In an attempt to contribute his knowledge and skills to the community, he co-authored The Asset Management Strategy of Real Estate Fund in South Korea, a book that explains how to invest in real estate using a new investment vehicle in South Korea by collaborating with other industry leaders to help investors choose efficient investment funds.
