For Students

Why I Teach

I love teaching music, because I love to pass it on.  I think that music is the most abstract of all the art forms. Its here one minute, then gone the next.  I love making the connection with the students and witnessing their own personal "eureka moments".  I truly love working with drummers of all levels of ability and after 21 years as an educator, I find that I am more motivated than ever.  Teaching, writing, and performing music is the closest thing I know to "living the dream".  I am both lucky and blessed to be able to do this job and get such great results.
