This lecture pairs with the exhibition that examines existential questions related to consciousness, artificial intelligence, and the nature of human belief.  Looking at how contemporary technologies have changed the way we think about death, and the conflicting narratives about mortality offered by science and religion.  Appropriate to this group of topics, Meiser used a CAD program for the design and fabrication of many of the works in this exhibition, creating an interesting dynamic between the origin and content of the projects, and highlighting Meiser’s assertion that the human condition is steeped in paradox. Opening reception to follow lecture.
