Join us for lunch and conversation about the ongoing scholarly work of Profs. Tere Garza and Lori Peterson. Dr. Tere Garza will discuss Standpoint theory and the "Outsider Within," a challenge she encountered while conducting research on Coyolxauhqui, the legendary Aztec moon Goddess. Dr. Lori West Peterson will discuss how, as a feminist scholar, she has developed "standpoint" in her research on maternity and maternity leave. Refreshments and light lunch provided.
