A finalist for an Academy Award for Best Documentary, GASLAND is a gripping and timely film about current hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking," which has become the largest domestic natural gas drilling boom in history. Conceived of, directed, narrated, and filmed by Josh Fox, GASLAND premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won six major awards.
Event will feature a showing of the documentary followed by Q&A with filmmaker Josh Fox. Event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Center for Ethics and Leadership with support from an NIFA HSI Education Grant.
