Dr. Fadwa Gad, guest of the Kozmetsky Center, will give a talk "Fling  Mud at the Cracking Wall: The People, the Arts and the Revolution in Egypt."
Dr. Fadwa Gad explores how far the Egyptian revolutionary act is entwined with an artistic temperament - with works of art that reflect the very particular Egyptian identity.  As an Egyptian, a woman, a scholar and a writer, she shares what it means to be witness to the Egyptian revolution.
Dr. Gad is Fulbright scholar-in-residence at St. Edward's and is also an associate professor of English and Comparative Literature at Helwan University in Cairo, Egypt.
