Terrance Hayes is the author of Lighthead, which won the 2010 National Book Award for poetry; Muscular Music, which won the Kate Tufts Discovery Award; Hip Logic, winner of the 2001 National Poetry Series, and Wind in a Box. His latest collection, How to Be Drawn, is forthcoming in 2015. He is a professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania. Hayes’ other honors include a Guggenheim Fellowship, a profile on the PBS Newshour with Jim Leher, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship.
