UNPG's Social Justice film series presents, “Made in Dagenham.”  The film dramatizes the 1968 strike at the Ford Dagenham plant in England where women workers, tired of exploitation in their workplace, walked off their jobs and demanded equality. The women had to not only fight their bosses, but the local community who thought that they were acting outside of their “womanly” roles. The film underscores the plight of working women as they combat the power of the global Ford Empire, thus reminding us of our increasingly globalized world. Dr. James Puglisi will screen the film.
