For Sophomores and Juniors

NSEP/ Boren Undergraduate Study Abroad Scholarships
Study abroad funding ($8,000 for a summer, $10,000 for a semester, or $20,000 for a full academic year) to sophomore, junior and senior U.S. citizens who study outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. One year service obligation to U.S. government in a position with national security responsibilities. Students need language aptitude and commitment to public service

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarships
Undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 annually for rising college juniors and seniors who have outstanding potential and intend to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship
$30,000 for graduate school in public service fields. Students must be juniors at time of selection. If chosen, students must work in public service for 3 years after graduate school.
Deadline: February         

Morris K. Udall Undergraduate Scholarships
$5000 a year and conference for sophomores or juniors with a demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment. Nominees have at least a 3.0 GPA and record of service and leadership.
