Club Sports

Club sports provide opportunities to learn a new sport, stay fit, make friends and compete against other club and varsity teams from universities around the nation. Club sport teams meet regularly for practices, demonstrations, meetings, training and games and compete on a regional and national level with support from St. Edward’s University.

Competitive club sport teams include:
  • Cycling
  • Men’s basketball
  • Men’s lacrosse
  • Men’s soccer
  • Rowing
  • Rugby
  • Swimming
  • Women’s soccer
  • Women’s volleyball

In addition to the these teams, you can join conditional and recreation teams that range from Quidditch to the Outdoor Adventure Club.

Intramurals

Intramural sports provide an opportunity to participate in organized sports leagues, tournaments and events against opponents on campus. Each sport/event offers a competitive league for those with experience and the desire to compete at the highest level, as well as a recreational league designed for those still learning the game and looking for fun.

Students can compete in the following leagues:
  • 5-on-5 basketball
  • 7-on-7 soccer
  • Dodgeball
  • Flag football
  • Indoor volleyball

  • Innertube water polo
  • Racquetball
  • Ultimate frisbee

In addition to these leagues, students can compete in tournaments including co-recreational softball, tennis, kickball, flag football, golf scramble and many more.

Fitness

Campus Recreation also provides general fitness programs, including special events, GroupX fitness classes and personal training. Classes vary each semester but often include yoga, Zumba and Boot Camps. Students have access to the indoor pool, practice soccer field, recreation field, the Recreation and Convocation Center, the UFCU Alumni Gym and the outdoor track.
