Whether you are a first-year, transfer, or post-baccalaureate, we offer upwards of 25 unique programs and events per year, designed to enrich your understanding of your respective health professions interest in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, nursing, physical therapy, and more.

Attendance at a diverse range of programming and events is strongly encouraged to become an active member of the Pre-Health community at St. Edward's University. If you are interested in receiving an evaluation from the Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC), event attendance is required during your tenure as a pre-health student.

While several events are open to the entire pre-health community, some events will have certain requirements for attendance based on information from health professions schools/programs, space restrictions, or other criteria. All students on the pre-health listserv will receive event updates and criteria on a regular basis. If you would like to be added or removed from the listserv, please contact jasond [at] stedwards.edu

If you have any questions about any of our events, please contact Jason De La Rosa at jasond [at] stedwards.edu or call 512-416-5858

Health Professions Advisory Committee Application Workshop #1

September 11, 2019 | 5:30pm - 7pm | JBWS 261

Many Pre-Health professional programs strongly encourage students to receive an evaluation from their institution's Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC). In fact, receiving a letter of evaluation from the St. Edward's University HPAC will likely enhance the quality of your application, but only certain health professions will utilize a committee letter in their admissions process.

If you eventually plan on applying to the following health professions, we strongly encourage you to RSVP to one of two HPAC application workshops this fall: Medical, Dental, Veterinary, Physician Assistant, Optometry, and Pharmacy.

If this is your application year, you are required to attend one application workshop before you are eligible to apply. Come hear about the requirements, interview process, and what to expect.

While this event is open to all, there is limited space and attendees are required to RSVP. Please be on the lookout for more detailed information regarding the RSVP process via the pre-health listserv.
