Why I Teach
Teaching is an opportunity to share something I know with someone who doesn’t know quite as much about the subject. This process takes the form of lectures and demonstrations, but also involves working with students on research projects or serving as an advisor to student organizations. Through all of these activities I see the opportunity to spark a desire in young people to learn more on their own.
I teach for three reasons. I enjoy it. My students like my style and methods. And I can’t think of another job that is this much fun.
