Associate Professor of French, Chair of Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures
Learn another language and you embark on an adventure, discover new cultures and ways of life, and thereby enrich the world as you know it. Now's the time to learn and study abroad. Job opportunities will follow in short order.
My research interests are embedded in the literature and philosophy of the French Enlightenment, especially the role of the novel, libertinism, and the rise of deism and atheism. I am also interested in language pedagogy and the use of technology to enhance the classroom experience, as the growing popularity of web-based courses provides the potential to reach more students.
