2026 Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment occurs from Monday, November 17, through Monday, December 1, 2025. All changes made during this period will take effect on January 1, 2026.
The university is remaining with our current benefits vendors Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBS) and MetLife. This year, Open Enrollment will be semi-passive, meaning with a few exceptions, if you do not wish to make changes from your current insurance coverage, you will not be required to take action.
If you wish to participate in the 2026 Flexible Spending Account(s), or you wish to make an employee contribution to the Health Savings Account (HDHP), you will need to go through the Open Enrollment process. Changes to your health plan selections outside of Open Enrollment are only permissible during a plan year if you experience an eligible IRS Qualifying Event. The only exception is making a new designation to the employee contribution to your HSA.
The choices you make during Open Enrollment will shape the benefits that will be available to you and your family throughout the upcoming year. Therefore, it is essential to thoughtfully consider your coverage options and personal benefits needs before making your selections. We encourage you to attend one of the following general information sessions to learn more about the health plans:

- November 21st at 1:00 PM Virtual
