Information Regarding Campus Operations
St. Edward's University will be remote on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026 and Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026 due to winter weather conditions. Your safety and well-being are our top priority.

Class Instruction
- All weekend classes will be fully remote.
Faculty and Staff
- Only essential on-campus employees should report to work, if they can do so safely.
- If you're unsure of your work status, please contact your supervisor.
On-Campus Events
- All in-person events scheduled on Saturday, Jan. 24 and Sunday, Jan. 25 are canceled.
Building Access
- All campus buildings will have controlled access, with the exception of Ragsdale for dining services.
- Please use your university ID for entry.
- The Recreation and Athletic Center (RAC) will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
- The Munday Library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. Online services will be available.
On-Campus Dining
- Visit Topper Eats for available on-campus dining options. You can also check Topper Eats’ social media for latest updates: Instagram and Facebook.
Campus Ministry
- Sunday Mass services are canceled.
On-Campus Housing
- All student residential communities remain staffed. Live-in personnel will continue rounds to address student concerns.
- Residential students should contact their RA for any specific questions or needs.
- For facility emergencies, such as heat or water leaks, please contact the RA on-call at 512-342-4100 or UPD (University Police Department) at 512-448-8444.

Emotional and Emergency Support
- Students: For emotional support, call the Hilltopper Helpline at 833-434-1217, available 24/7.
- Employees: The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available at 800-343-3822.
- The Huddle Emergency Food Pantry across from Hunt Hall and the HCC is open 24/7 and accessible with your university ID.
Campus Safety Tips
Facilities and UPD staff continue to maintain a safe campus, but please be mindful that roads, sidewalks, walkways and other surfaces may be icy. We need your cooperation to stay safe:
- Only go outside if necessary. Allow extra time if walking or driving.
- Please use designated accessible paths when walking on campus.
- Proactively charge your mobile devices.
- Follow the "4 P's" for winter safety (People, Pets, Pipes, and Plants).
