Dr. Omid Jadidi is an Associate Professor of Operations Management in the Bill Munday School of Business at St. Edward’s University. He brings a strong academic and practical background to the classroom, with a focus on bridging theory and real-world application.
Dr. Jadidi teaches—and has taught—a wide range of courses, including Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Global Management, as well as Inferential Statistics, Big Data Analytics, Python for Business Analytics, and Optimization. His teaching spans both conceptual and technical domains, with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making. His interdisciplinary approach reflects a strong integration of his academic background and professional experience, enabling students to connect theory with real-world applications.
He holds a Ph.D. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, as well as M.S. and B.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering. His research interests align closely with the courses he teaches and focus on areas such as supply chain optimization, production planning, and decision-making in complex systems. His work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the academic discourse in operations and supply chain management.

In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Jadidi brings approximately five years of industry experience to his role. He has served as a Project Controller, Industrial Engineer, and Materials Planning Manager, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges and best practices within manufacturing and logistics environments.
