What goes into professional learning?

St. Edward’s combines the personalized attention typical of a private institution with the world-class academic reputation and expertise found in much larger universities. By working closely with our partners to understand their needs, we design tailored learning experiences that address these six critical components of professional education.

Collaborate with St. Edward’s

As you review our offerings below, consider how your employees might learn best — becoming better leaders, team members and professionals.

  • Do you think an after-work or lunchtime in-person delivery is best, or are you looking for short-form online modules?
  • Do you want a high level of interactive learning, or simply a delivery system for new and exciting relevant content?
  • Do you want to look at outcome data and assess your employees’ newly acquired skills?
  • Do you prefer programs that offer industry-backed credentials, such as badges, certificates, Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or transferable credit-bearing transcripts?

Custom Faculty Sessions and Seminars

St. Edward’s is prepared to bring its faculty expertise to a custom event, session or seminar for your organization. We offer a range of delivery options, from short-form modular online learning to on-site intensive learning. We’ll collaborate with you on content and curriculum that focuses on your learning outcomes, be it for small groups or organization-wide training.

CEUs and Professional Development

Do you have staff, employees or members who want to take advantage of industry-backed continuing education? St. Edward’s can help by delivering one or more of the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) sessions you need. If you already have a session developed, we can review and award university-approved CEUs for the training you’re leading. As a university, our registration and processing systems will save you the time-consuming steps of gaining a CEU credential for your session.

Engaged Learner Series

A one-and-done employee training session is only as good as those who consistently apply what they learned. What makes an Engaged Learner Series unique is its ability to provide ongoing learning and development across a variety of topic areas. Here’s how our Engaged Learner Series works:

Once or twice a month (for as many months as you see fit), faculty experts from St. Edward’s will present on your most relevant topics over a lunch or a short afternoon. This approach keeps employees engaged and puts theory into practice. Employees and faculty members work together to inform each other about their learning and practical utilization process, making sure everything is tailored to the needs of learners and your organization.

Learn More About Our Professional Education Offerings

Consider credential types as a means to certify the learning experience. Most universities do this by offering credit-bearing courses as part of traditional degree programs. St. Edward’s expands upon this traditional model by providing multiple ways adults and all learners can take advantage of more accessible, career-building options.

  • Certificates
University-approved, non-credit-bearing certificates of completion. Demonstrates mastery of learning experience outcomes.
  • Industry Aligned Badges
Digital and transferable credentials representing mastery of competencies.
  • Non-Degree Transcripts
Formal university transcripts with title, date, name and grade. Physical and digital copies are available.
  • CEU and PD
Continuing and professional education units are required to maintain licensure or keep relevant with best practices.

At St. Edward’s, our subject matter experts create curated learning experiences to meet any need, with delivery options that best serve our partner organizations.

  • Delivery
St. Edward’s can tailor learning delivery for any style, timeframe and schedule. We offer options for on-site, on-campus, online and hybrid. We understand that education designed for busy learners is critical to success.
  • Instruction
The renowned expertise of our faculty at St. Edward’s provides in-depth knowledge and skills for our learners. Instruction can be tailored to fit faculty-led options, co-taught options with other subject-matter specialists and industry experts, or self-directed and self-paced formats.
  • Learner Experience
Depending on the ideal delivery and instruction preference, the learner experience can be delivered in synchronous sessions, semi-synchronous scheduled check-ins, or completely asynchronous.

St. Edward’s offers subject matter expertise and skills development spanning almost every industry. We work with our partners to pinpoint the most relevant learning topics that help their employees foster progress and innovation.
