St. Edward's University is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive educational environment in alignment with our Holy Cross mission.
Employee Reporting
We encourage students, faculty, staff, and visitors of the university to report concerns, seek guidance, and use university resources to ensure a respectful and equitable campus experience for everyone.
Incidents to Report
St. Edward’s University encourages employees to report workplace concerns that may impact a safe, respectful, and inclusive university environment. Reporting helps the university review concerns, address potential violations of university policy, and provide appropriate guidance or support to those involved.
Reports may include concerns related to employee conduct, discrimination, accessibility, workplace ethics, or other matters affecting the university community. The reporting options below connect you with the appropriate university office based on the nature of the concern.
An incident of bias is defined as conduct or behavior (verbal, nonverbal, written) that is threatening, harassing (pervasive unwelcome behavior), intimidating, discriminatory, or hostile and is based on a person's identity or group affiliation, including but not limited to, race, age, disability status, gender*, gender identity/expression*, national origin, sexual orientation, or religion.
Academic content such as class discussions or debate (or course texts, labs, art critiques, etc.) that students allege make them upset, angry, insulted, confused, etc., does not, by itself, constitute bias. A student upset about academic content should instead consult the Academic Student Complaint Resolution Process. If the concern is not resolved after following Step 1 and 2, students can complete the Academic Student Complaint Form.
