Being here makes all the difference

You can look at hundreds of Instagram pictures. You can watch video tours of our campus and Austin (on this page). But nothing compares to experiencing the hilltop and our amazing hometown in person. Come explore. It’s the best way to get to know us.

Campus Tours

Spring tours begin Jan. 11 and run through May 6 (excluding university holidays and special events). Campus tours are offered Monday and Friday at 9:30 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please note: tours from Jan. 11–Jan. 22 and May 2–May 6 are only available Monday through Friday at 10 a.m.

Our campus walking tours are led by current students and last about an hour and 15 minutes. All tours include a look inside academic buildings, the student center, and athletic facilities. Please inform our tour coordinator if you need any specific accommodations.

While you’re here, you can also hear from an admission counselor to get answers to your questions and help us get to know you. To schedule a session with a counselor, select the option while registering for your campus tour, or call our office at 512-448-8500 or 800-555-0164.

Spring Open Houses

An Open House is a great opportunity for you to spend some time on our sunny hilltop. We’ll have information sessions, campus tours and residence hall tours offered throughout the day. You pick the activities and times that work best for you. And be sure to leave some time to explore Austin and see for yourself why it’s been voted one of the best places to live.

Transfer Student Information Sessions

College students currently attending another university are invited to join us for a Transfer Information Session from noon to 2 p.m. You’ll learn more about St. Edward’s University and our transfer admission process. Information about our majors and internship opportunities will also be provided.

Comprehensive Visits

Our comprehensive visits provide an opportunity for high school seniors to experience a day in the life of a student at St. Edward’s. You will attend a class, meet with a current student, and in eat in the dining hall. Morning and afternoon visits are available. For seniors traveling to Austin alone, we can arrange for you to spend a night in a residence hall with a student host. Spring comprehensive visits begin on Jan. 25. Request a comprehensive visit.

Campus tour guide and students at Main BuildingGroup Tours

Guided high school group tours are offered between the months of September and April for groups of sophomores, juniors and seniors. Requests require three weeks advance noticed. Middle school and elementary school groups are welcome to pick up a self-guided tour map and explore campus on their own throughout the year. Request a guided high school group tour.

Visitor Information

St. Edward’s is located just minutes from downtown Austin. Wondering how to get to campus and where to stay? We recommend the Wyndham Garden Hotel, which offers a St. Edward’s visitor rate of $109 per night, including breakfast for two. The hotel is about a five-minute drive from campus.
