IRB Full Board Meetings
During a Full Board meeting, all voting IRB faculty members discuss pending research proposals that pose a higher risk to subjects. Meetings are usually scheduled on the last Friday of each month, unless adjusted for holidays.
- Student researchers are not qualified to conduct Full Board level research. A SEU faculty member must be the Principal Investigator for any research that includes vulnerable populations or highly sensitive data collection.
- Proposals that likely require a Full Board Review must be submitted at least 15 business days (M-F) prior to a meeting date. Missing this deadline will lead to delays in your approval process.
- Proposals that are not likely to require Full Board Review can be submitted any time during the school year.

The final deadline for Full Board research proposals for the academic year is in April. The Full Board does not convene May through August.
